About the event
The ride will be held on Saturday, 30th of April, 2022 and will be in conjunction with our affiliated clubs; Team GC, Tri London, HTC and Kensal Rise Tri.
This is the final ride to St Albans for a few months as we will head to Ashridge for the next few rides. The intention is to stop for our break at The waffle House on St Michael's St. Failing that(as we cannot book) we will go to the Six Bells or up to St Albans Clock Tower (previously used).
As usual, there will be several options of routes and distances which include cycling from Camden to St Albans as well as starting with an outbound train journey, for which I will need a volunteer leader.
All routes leave from Giant Camden between 8:30am and 9:30am and all have a cafe stop at The Waffle House at approx 11.30am .
Longest Route 96km - from Giant to St Albans & Redbourne and back. This route will be led by Amy and will be a faster-paced route. Waffle House stop at 64km. https://www.strava.com/routes/2921206033751342792 Departure time: 8:30am
Medium Route 70km - from Giant to St Albans - Return Cafe stop at 36km. Leader volunteer required - will only go ahead if we've a leader.

If not riding back, here is the route to the station: https://www.strava.com/routes/2922177989284932748
This group will leave the shop by 8.45am to catch the 8.53am train from Kentish Town station. You can use contactless or buy a paper ticket in advance, just allow ample time.
Please let me know which route and if you're happy to lead(you'll need to have downloaded the route). contact me with any questions...
As usual, the aim of the morning will be to have a safe and decent ride AND a lovely time together, both on the road and at the stop. The routes are fairly hilly and may leave your legs feeling heavy. Keep this in mind when choosing - don't apply your Regent's Park average speed to these routes' distances; they are 'warming'(hilly) and therefore take longer than a flatter route to complete.
Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting the new ones.
