About the event
The ride will be held on Saturday, 29th January, 2022 and will be in conjunction with our affiliated clubs; Team GC, Tri London and HTC.
As usual, there will be several options of routes and distances;
1. A short route to St Albans of 36km with train back. https://www.strava.com/routes/2906307573028552898
Departure time 9am
2. An intermediate route of 70km St Albans return with stop at 36km https://www.strava.com/routes/2906307573028552898 and https://www.strava.com/routes/11016604
Departure time 9am
3. A longer distance ride 96km St Albans return via Redbourne with stop at 65km https://www.strava.com/routes/2921206033751342792
Departure time 8.30am
All routes leave from Giant Camden.
Everyone's cafe stop will be at Market Pl, St Albans AL3 5DG and hopefully all together at around 11-11:30am. There are many shops so you should be able to find your favourites and there's outdoor bench seating.
As usual, the aim of the morning will be to have a safe and decent ride AND a lovely time together, both on the road and at the St Albans stop. The routes are hilly and will leave your legs feeling fairly heavy. Keep this in mind when choosing - don't apply your Regent's Park average speed to these routes' distances; they are 'warming'(hilly) and therefore take longer than a flatter route to complete.
Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting the new ones.
