About the event

The ride will be held on Saturday, 26th of March, 2022 and will be in conjunction with our affiliated clubs; Team GC, Tri London, HTC and Kensal Rise Tri.

As usual, there will be several options of routes and distances which include cycling from Camden to St Albans as well as starting with an outbound train journey, which I will lead, to try to cater for as many riders as possible.

All routes leave from Giant Camden between 8:30am and 9:30am and all have a cafe stop in St Albans market area .

Longest Route 96km - from Giant to St Albans & Redbourne. This route will only go ahead if there are enough riders(minimum 2) and a volunteer leader. Cafe stop at 65km. https://www.strava.com/routes/2921206033751342792 Departure time: 8:30am

Medium Route 70km - from Giant to St Albans - Return Cafe stop at 36km. Leader volunteer required.

Departure time: 9:30am

'Train First' Route 36km (led by Amy and adaptable depending on group pace) for riders who want to avoid the North London traffic. Route is from St Albans Stn around Redbourne and Chidwickbury.

https://www.strava.com/routes/2941127311859668212

Departure time: is 8:40am for the 8:53am train from Kentish Town Stn.

Please let me know which route and if you're happy to lead(you'll need to have downloaded the route). contact me with any questions...

Everyone's cafe stop will be at Market Pl, St Albans AL3 5DG and hopefully all together at around 11-11:30am. There are many shops so you should be able to find your favourites and there's outdoor bench seating. We will be on the benches by Zizzi and the pub.

As usual, the aim of the morning will be to have a safe and decent ride AND a lovely time together, both on the road and at the St Albans stop. This is Hertfordshire so all routes are hilly and will leave your legs feeling fairly heavy. Keep this in mind when choosing - don't apply your Regent's Park average speed to these routes' distances; they are 'warming'(hilly) and therefore take longer than a flatter route to complete.

Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting the new ones.

Looking forward to seeing you,
